We've been lucky enough to have the fabulous Joe Black grace our stage as a compere in the past. This Halloween he will reprise his role as a raconteur extraordinaire as the Neon Moon compere!
Here's a few words about his performance inspiration and experiences, in his own words: What is your main performance inspiration? I’m in love with 1920’s and 1930’s cabaret. German specifically. There's a vibe about i just can’t get enough of. What do you love most about burlesque and cabaret? It’s so open. its one thing at one moment… then something entirely different the next! it feeds the unexpected. What has been your most memorable performance so far? Performing on the same stage as Eddie Izzard was a highlight, for a comedy festival. I recently played ukulele for RuPaul’s drag race season 5 winner Jinkx Monsoon. We did a cover of Radiohead’s creep together. That was pretty special. Can you give us a retro or burlesque style tip? More is more. and more is better. If you want to capture some of Joe Black's songs in digital format, you can find them on iTunes here!
